Stage Start / Finish Volunteers:
6 hour time commitment

– Start can be done as a pair of two friends, but you can sign up individually and we will pair you up accordingly. Finish is a solo position.

– Stage starts are fun, outgoing and social positions requiring leadership abilities and organizational skills

– Stage finishes are a little more mellow and require the ability to cheer on riders as they pass. No direct conversation or leadership is required

– Must be able to hike/ride to a location on course with a backpack holding timing equipment (it’s light weight, don’t worry)

Course Marshall Volunteer:

– 6 hour time commitment

– Requires management of racers crossing non-race trails

– Must have the ability to get to a location on course by hiking or biking

– Course marshalls need to be able to direct racers and potentially converse with the general public to manage rider traffic at a critical junction

Feed Zone:

– Will need a vehicle with adequate space to carry supplies to the feed zone

– Setup and replenish a supply of pre-packaged food / water supplied by Nesters Market

– Requires clean up of feed zone at end of race day (GFL will pick up waste/recycling/compost from location)

– 7 hour time commitment

Course Forerunner or Sweep

– You will lead out the course, or follow the last rider on each course (1 forerunner/sweep per course), riding the course in its entirety

– You will be required to communicate via phone with race controller when you start/finish each stage

– You will be required to ensure riders are keeping reasonable pace (sweep)

– You can ride an e-bike for this task

– 4-7 hour time committment

Registration (Saturday or Sunday):

– 4-5 hour time commitment

– You will not be on course and will instead be situated at Squamish Valley Golf Club

– You will be interacting with riders and assisting with: handing out drink/meal tickets, managing entries into apres venue

Course Tare Down:

– Happens after the event is complete on Sunday evening or on Monday, April 22

– Requires you to ride with a LARGE backpack, and tare down race tape and course marking arrows

– Trails will be assigned based on your availability

On-Course Medic:

– Must be an experienced FA provider with a minimum 80 hours WFR, OEC or OFA3 certification

– Requires being positioned at a technical section on course and communicating with the lead medic, as part of a large team of medics

– Will require some online coordination with lead medic before event

– 6 hour time commitment

Speed Zone:

– Requires you to work in a team of three to track speed of riders using a radar gun and smart phone

– You will be positioned as a fixed location on course

– Can be done in a group of 3 friends, or sign up individually and we can pair you up

– 7 hour time committment

Parking Director

– Will require you to greet & direct vehicles entering the Logger Sports lot

– General parking lines will be set for you to follow

– Requires 5 hour time committment (7am – 12pm)
